Truth be told, I have no clue if a cooler climate has any influence, all I know is that the good life often comes aboot about through a sense of limitless time. Something you'll note within a few days in Québec City, "Is it me, or does it feel like we have 'leftover' time every day?" Even after being leisurely like French and rugged like Canadians (trekking and scaling -- we really did! -- Québec's historic ramparts), somehow we were left puzzled before calling it a night. How did we relax (a lot) and do (a lot) and still feel like we could do or not do (a lot) more? We decided to be typical Americans, lazy, and hit the lights out before midnight. My good life definitely includes 8 hours* of sleep.

* Lie. I prefer 9 like my friends above. And to continue, aren't the French equally lazy if they take ten hours to eat a meal? I smell a Le Double Standard Mac...

Seven anchors because I packed a coat in July. Sorry Québec City, as insanely gorgeous and perfect as your are, only hot, hazy, and humid summers replenish my depleted Vitamin D and serotonin levels of winter. Then again, I'll happily be at your lovely doorsteps at the onset of hot flashes. (Recent dialogue with my roommate, "Oh my god, what if my dry skin is a sign of low estrogen levels?!")
